Began teaching at Berryville Middle School in 1999

Taught 8th grade for many years, 5th for three years, and 7th, now, for four years

Previous Position:

In my previous life, I was a farmer (with my husband), raising beef cattle, chickens, and then turkeys (actually, that was about 20 years ago)

Family Information:

I am not currently married. 

I have two daughters and two stepsons. My daughters each went to school here, and one is now an attorney and one is a hospice care nurse. One of my stepsons is a life-evac helicopter nurse and one is a mechanic, living in Alabama

I have a cat and two dogs as pets.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching, I love traveling, swimming and waterskiing, hiking and photography. 

I also love to write, so I put together photo books, particularly with old family photos.
